I can see clearly now...

Behold! My new glasses! LOVE them! They are by Salt Optics, they're called : Jaden, and I proudly own them in toffee tortoise pink. They're sharp and clean, yet fun and punchy in that "business in the front / party in the back" sorta way. Described as 'a bold vintage cat eye with modern lines' these babies really screamed out at me, I had to have them! Of course it was the peek-a-boo pink that sold me on this particular pair, but can you blame me...? They're pretty fierce.

Style Lounge display table : inspiration!

This picture is every kind of happy. There is something so whimsical and dreamy about this - it's being so happy you could almost float away. It's having something on a string... that's exciting to me! This image perfectly embodies the principles of Pink Dot Press : it's indulging in the extraordinary. We believe that all things can and should be celebrated and that life on a grand scale should feel like a party all the time. In reality, it usually isn't but, we can dream cant we? So, upon discovery of this photo, the seed for our display table at the Golden Globe Style Lounge was planted! It was then that the mad hunt for these delicious 'sky buster' balloons in every shade of pink had begun! I found them, I ordered them... I await their arrival. I'm excited! Will keep you posted, pinky swear!

Golden Globies... getting there!

Good news! Round one of Project Assembly: Style Lounge Madness was a success! With five of us, some wine and tasties to boot - we assembled 500 of these babies in what seemed like no time! I have to say I am quite pleased with the progress and am happy to report that my anxiety is beginning to dissipate! Yippee, hooray! Not bad for one nights work.

A note on Miki...

A thank you note, or two - that is! These came out so good I just had to share! In exchange for his super-photo skills I happily designed 2 different thank you notes for Miki of mi-workshop. He asked for something he could send out to clients thanking them for their purchase of a custom furniture piece. We sat and discussed and decided on a lovely graphic faux bois with his [mi] logo brand stamp as one and a playful monkey hanging from a branch holding his logo as the other. We printed through my new favorite letterpress printer : SPARK! Designing for Miki was brilliant fun and so are his cards!

The Golden Globies!!!

ohmygoodness. ohmygoodness. The madness has officially begun! A while back Pink Dot Press was commissioned by Feinstein/McGuiness Public Relations to design both a 'deck' and a hard invitation for their annual Style Lounge Pre-Golden Globe gifting suite. This is one of many events hosted annually by FMPR in anticipation of major red carpet award shows in which cater to celebrity attendees. We completed the 'deck' which was a 10 page pictorial/text heavy informative electronic brochure [if you will] in September. The outcome - merely magnificent, of course! Well... with the event creeping up on us [January 8th + 9th, to be precise] the invitations are in full swing! I've assembled my team [the golden globies] and we are set to begin round one of Project Assembly: Style Lounge Madness! The supplies keep rolling in - luscious satin ribbon, pockets, stickers and envelopes... oh my! With 500 of these babies to hand assemble the task is daunting - especially since yours truly decided to really out-do herself on the design [as usual!!!] This has been such a fun adventure and I'll be sure to post updates throughout the process. The best part will be reporting from the Golden Globes Style Lounge in which Pink dot Press will be holding court!!! Undeniably Fun!
